Much has happened since this summer. Erica has been busy making tons of cupcakes. In October she was able to book a wedding and made over 200 hundred cupcakes. She made four different flavors and they all turned out really well. If you want to take a look at more of her cupcake pictures you can always check out new updates and pictures on her website: www.createdby-e.com

Over Thanksgiving we were able to travel quite a bit which was a good change for us having not really gone anywhere in awhile. We spent some time in Knoxville, TN and Birmingham, AL with my side of the family and then spent a few days in Atlanta by ourselves and explored all the Atlanta has to offer. One of the highlights of Thanksgiving was that we were able to meet our nephew for the first time. Jordan Butler was lots of fun to play with, watch roll over, watch laugh and even watch cry. He's precious and we're glad we got to spend some time with him. Below are some of the pictures from Thanksgiving weekend.

My dad thought it was important to introduce Jordan to some Auburn gear. He seemed a little iffy about it, but seemed much happier once he got some burnt orange him.

Jordan hanging out with his Uncle Kevin.

My grandparents also celebrated their 65 year anniversary over Thanksgiving which was a treat to spend some time with everyone.

It became our mission all weekend to make Jordan smile and by the end of it Erica clearly won the prize for making Jordan smile.

Once we got him to smile that's basically all we wanted to do. If you are wondering who he's smiling at, it's Erica. He really liked looking at his Aunt Erica.

Super cute picture of Jordan smiling.

Erica and I got to see a lot of cool things in Atlanta. We explored the coke factory and this is a picture of the different cokes from around the world. There were some that were really good and some that were just really bad. All in all it was really fun.

We also got to check out the aquarium. It was pretty crazy and got to see lots of amazing fish.

We also were able to see Miley Cyrus in concert. We were surrounded by 25,000 screaming little girls. It was definitely an experience.

It is crazy that the Christmas season is already around the corner. We are planning on spending the holiday season in San Diego which should be a lot of fun. Hope everyone has a great Christmas holiday.

End of Summer

As the summer comes to an end I wanted to update everyone on everything that has happened. Erica and I have had a super busy last two months with lots of fun trips and activities.

I took a trip to LA to visit Bush and surprise him for his birthday.

It was definitely fun to hang out on the westcoast for a few days and see Bush. We also got to go see Manny being Manny when he came back from trying to get pregnant at Dodgers Stadium.

Erica took a trip down to Houston for her dad's retirement party.

There have been tons of babies born in Houston in the family so it was good for her to go see all the babies that she hasn't seen in awhile. It was also good to see everyone at the retirement party and spend some time with the fam.

As most of you know, my bro also had his first kid, Mr. Jordan Butler. He's ridiculously cute and hopefully we can see him in person sooner than not.

In the past few months there have also been a lot of chick fil a openings so we have been camping out a lot in different chick fil a parking lots getting tons of chick fil a coupons. It is definitely fun to see the same people every time and it's hilarious that we are like the veterans and regulars after doing them for so long.

One of the biggest things that has happened this summer is that Erica has started up her own business. She is now in the business in making gourmet cupcakes and gifts. She is still at Fluor but this is a side business that we wanted to get started. We had a open house where we had over 300 cupcakes made. Erica's mom even came into town to help bake and decorate. I tried to decorate myself but after they saw that I have no artistic talent, the icing pipe was taken away from me. At the open house we had about 50 people and it was a huge success.

For the past week I have been working exclusively on finishing Erica's website for her business. Be sure to check it out at www.createdby-e.com There you can see all the pictures of all the cupcakes and some of the pictures from the open house.

Hopefully everyone had a great summer and we look forward to talking/seeing everyone soon.

Summer Time

So I realized that it had been about 2 months since I updated the blog so thought it would be a good time to update since much has happened and most people haven't gotten to see any pictures yet.

As many of you know we went on a three day cruise down to the Bahamas for our 2 year anniversary. We had a blast dispite the rain that seemed to follow us everywhere we went on the islands. There were also two couples from our small group that were celebrating their anniversaries as well that went with us. It was definitely a fun time to fellowship with friends and also spend some time with my bride.

One of the coolest things happened last month. Erica got baptised. It was definitely an awesome experience. The church we have been going to, Newspring, goes all out for the baptisms and they even tailgate for 2 hours before. There were probably about 500 people at the baptism and at our location we had about 180 people get baptised. We have multiple locations and in total we had about 560 people get baptised which is pretty awesome for one day. We have really enjoyed the vision of the church and they actually have a web campus that shows the services live online Sunday mornings. If anyone is interested, you can visit www.newspring.cc to check it out.

We also have some exciting things coming up this summer. My cousin will be getting married and my brother and his wife will be having their first child. Add to the fact that like everyone else we know is having a baby, so there will be lots of little ones joining us in the near future. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer. We'll try to take tons of pictures over the next few months to share with everyone.
